Bramnick Creed partner Mike Bramnick recently secured summary judgment in the amount of $4.6M on a contested mechanic’s lien claim for a client who acted as a subcontractor on a renewable energy project in Maryland. In reaching its decision, the Circuit Court agreed that the project was “lienable,” i.e. subject to a mechanic’s lien, despite the project owner’s legal argument that the property was non-lienable under the Maryland mechanic’s lien code, Md. Code, Real Prop. § 9-101 et seq. Mike Bramnick routinely represents suppliers, subcontractors, general contractors and project owners on mechanic’s lien cases.
